Everything is bigger (and better) in Dallas!

Dallas is a vibrant, modern and sophisticated city that offers something for everyone. It is the 8th largest in the nation and it covers over 343 square miles. Dallasites tend to live large and think big , which is why it is quickly becoming one of the most sought after cities in the world for young professionals, families and businessmen. The city's culture, history, attractions, neighborhoods and plans for future development are attracting millions of residents and visitors each year. It's the Dallas-style Southern hospitality that truly sets this city apart from others, however. Dallasites love their neighbors and they're proud of their roots, culture, patios and home-style cooking.

    Entertainment, Arts, Culture and Dining

Boasting world-class shopping,13 entertainment districts, five star hotels and restaurants, the nation's largest urban arts district, top museums, performance halls and year-round sports teams, there is ALWAYS something to do in Dallas. Mix this with our great weather (average temp 55-76 degrees F ) and you'll see why it's hard to leave the Big D once you're here!

     Restaurants:

Dallas offers the best food in the nation. In fact, restauranteurs flock to our city to test their latest creations. If their restaurant doesn't do well in Dallas, it's not going to do well anywhere else! The three biggest food groups Dallasites crave are 1. Steak 2. Tex-Mex  and 3. BBQ.  I have included a few of my favorite restaurants below:

     Steak houses :

     Tex-Mex:

     BBQ:

     Shopping

Dallasites know how to shop which is why our city boasts some of the best shopping in the world. It all started when Mr. Neiman Marcus opened his first store in downtown Dallas in 1907. Today, many residents and visitors take advantage of these first-class, high-end shopping centers:

Dallas is known for its patios, roof-top decks, live music, dancing, bars, clubs, jazz and comedy clubs.

     Business and Travel

Dallas is the premier location for businessmen and avid travelers to access the rest of the world. DFW International airport is within a four-hour flight from most North American destinations, and as the world’s third busiest airport, it offers nearly 1,800 flights per day while providing non-stop service to 134 domestic and 37 international destinations worldwide. Not to mention, CEO Jeff Fegan just announced a $1.8 Bilion renovation which will make it one of the best airports in the world. In addition, Dallas Love Field Airport is conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown. http://www.dmagazine.com/Home/D_CEO/2010/May_June/Man_Who_Keeps_DFW_Airport_Soaring.aspx

Dallas is constantly growing and expanding. In fact, developers are currently investin $13 Billion in the city's urban core.  The city just completed One Arts Plaza  http://www.oneartsplaza.com/ and is currently building The Park over Woodall Rogers Freeway to connect Downtown with Uptown http://www.theparkdallas.org/. Trails are being built along Trinity River for recreation and leisure http://www.trinityrivercorridor.org/, and we have a brand new convention center www.dallasconventioncenter.com .
