Boulder in nestled in the Foot Hills of the Rocky Mountains. There are a host of outdoor activities for you to enjoy.
Outdoor magazine rates Boulder runner up in the US for road biking. There are numerous mountain bike trails, hiking trails, rock climbing, road biking etc. If you enjoy competing, Boulder and the surrounding area provide many road races, triathlons, duathlons, adventure races - you name, we have it! World class skiing is also available at Nederland ski area, only 20 mintues away to the Summit County ski areas 90 minutes away.
The arts are also well represented in this area. All summer there are more free open air concerts than you will have time to attend. Numerous art festivals are also evident thruout the year. Pearl Street Mall, a pedestrian only area in Boulder, hosts many of these. Entertainers and music dot the mall for your enjoyment year round.
Our over 300 days of sunshine are a blessing as well. The weather in this area is unbeatable with low humidity and lots of sunshine.
Boulder is home to University of Colorado. Fort Collins, about 45 minutes north, is home to Colorado State University. The universities also provide many activities for your enjoyment - including concerts, plays, film festivals etc.
Only 50 mintues away in Denver, there are professional football, baseball, basketball and hockey teams.
